Services Office (ISO) Rating

Inside the Kemp City Limits, the rating is a 3.

 

Outside the City Limits, the rating depends on the following:

 

  • Within five road miles of a Kemp Fire Station AND within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant, the rating is a 3
  • Within five road miles of a Kemp Fire Station but NO hydrant is within 1000 feet, the rating is a 9
  • Not within five road miles of a Kemp Fire Station and no hydrant within 1000 feet, the rating is a 9

 

NOTE: An address must meet both requirements of being within five miles of a station and having the hydrant within 1000 feet to receive the 3. Meeting only one of these requirements for an O.P.A. address gives them a 9. This is per I.S.O. Texas Office 1-800-277-8392.

                                   

This classification previously had been a 6 in the city of Kemp and a 9 throughout the rest of the fire district.
